Médecins Sans Frontières, 50 ans d’humanité
Depuis sa création en 1971, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) a croisé la route de nombreux photographes soucieux de rendre compte du sort des populations touchées par la guerre, affectées par les épidémies ou les catastrophes naturelles, contraintes à la migration et exclues des soins. Animés par une volonté commune, photographes et équipes MSF travaillent sur les mêmes terrains d’intervention.
À l’occasion de ses 50 ans, l’organisation propose une sélection de clichés marquants son histoire, et laisse la parole aux photographes qui ont évolué à ses côtés. Ils se nomment Sebastiao Salgado, Robin Hammond, Lynsey Addario, Laurence Geai, Adrienne Surprenant… Ils se sont rendus en Tchétchénie ou au Yémen où sévit la guerre, au Népal et en Haïti frappés par un séisme, en République démocratique du Congo touchée par le virus Ebola…
Fondant son action sur une évaluation impartiale des besoins, l’organisation apporte son secours sans discrimination politique, religieuse ou raciale.

Doctors Without Borders, 50 Years of Humanity
Since its creation in 1971, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has worked with many photographers who are conscious of the need to show the reality of populations affected by war, epidemics and natural disasters. Driven by a shared commitment to document these complex situations, photographers and MSF teams work on the ground in the same areas of intervention.
2021 marks 50 years of MSF. For the occasion, the organization is exhibiting a selection of photographs that most represent its history, witnessed by some of the photographers who have worked alongside its teams. These photographers are Sebastiao Salgado, Robin Hammond, Lynsey Addario, Laurence Geai, Adrienne Surprenant…They have travelled to locations such as war-torn Chechnya and Yemen, Nepal and Haiti devastated by earthquakes, Malawi hit by HIV and the Democratic Republic of the Congo affected by the Ebola virus.
Basing its actions on an impartial assessment of needs, the organization provides relief without political, religious or racial discrimination.
