New Writings Award Application form
Foreword :
A partnership between French association Freelens, Zoom Photo Festival in Saguenay (Canada) and Transizioni Festival (Bologna, Italy), the New Writings Award calls for short multimedia pieces, sound slideshows, video works, or photographic short films.
The call is open to all journalists, photojournalists, photography and journalism students, and dedicated amateurs. They are invited to submit a short and creative multimedia piece composed of stills, videos, texts and audio with a duration of under 7 minutes (recommended). The theme is open but the work has to be of a documentary or journalistic nature.
One project will be awarded with a 1000 Euro prize and will be presented during the Saguenay ZOOM Photo Festival and the Transiozini Festival in Italy, along with 10 other selected projects. Travel to Saguenay, Quebec (Canada) and accommodation will be provided by the festival. The awarded piece will also be streamed on the web. A partnership between Corridor Elephant Editions, the winner will be published with an Ebook Multimedia in the Art Photo Film collection.

The winning project will be awarded with
– A 1000 Euros grant
– A maximum of 1100 Euros will be spend by the Saguenay ZOOM Photo Festival to pay for travel and accommodation of the winner to Saguenay, Canada.
– A projection of the winning short in November in Saguenay, Quebec, Canada, during the Zoom Photo Festival and during the Transizioni Festival in Italy.
– Streaming of the project on a web platform.
– Published in Multimedia Ebook with Corridor Elephant Editions in the Art Photo Film collection.
The jury will also select 10 exceptional submissions, which will be projected during the ZOOM Photo Festival in November in Saguenay and Transizioni Festival in Italy, as well as on a web platform.
