On January 29, 2017, a seemingly quiet winter evening, terror shook Quebec City. A few minutes before 8 P.M., a shooter opened fire on men gathered to pray at the Islamic Cultural Center of the provincial capital, Killing six of them and wounding several others, before running away from the scene.
The suspect was arrested by the police the same night but the shock wave that followed was terrible in the capital of Quebec. A Le Soleil photographer was the first to arrive on the site where the tragedy occurred. This exhibition documents those horrible events, where the unthinkable gave way to solidarity.
